We have created a new feature on our platform: Gifts and Donations. Introduce a friend to Timebank.cc by giving him or her a few of your Hours. In addition, your favourite organization can now receive donations which will help them to realize their nonprofit projects.
To guarantee that our currency will maintain its value (1h of work = 1,00 H) gifts and donations are registered on separate accounts, as an extra payment type. Users have now an extra 'Gift Account', that can store up to 5,00 H of given Hours, which is the price of an average user-to-user exchange. Organizations have a special 'Project Account' that can hold a maximum of 100,00 H worth of donations. The Hours on these new accounts can be used for any Timebank exchange. The only difference is the way those Hours are received: not in exchange for work, but by friendship and charity. |
