Bike for climate justice!

As Timebankers have found, you can use time to buy a meal, a ride, a lesson. But one thing we urgently need time for is the planet. We’re talking about the ever increasing and devastating effects of climate change. It is more urgent than ever to pressure our city to reduce CO2 emissions, conserve our groves and parks, and invest in fossil-free energy.

This is why Timebank.cc is joining numerous organizations dedicated to sustainable living (Den Haag Fossil Vrij, Greenpeace, Lekkernassuh) in co-organizing a bike parade on September 8 from Malieveld to the Provinciehuis. This parade is a message to the council members of our city that it is now or never to commit to fighting climate change. We are biking to urge the municipality to invest in sustainable living, promote cycling as a sustainable form of transportation, and encourage closer cooperation between sustainability/climate/environment organizations in The Hague.
