Introduction to the Arduino micro controller
During this workshop you will learn the basics of working with Arduino micro controller, a small device that had a huge impact on the world of DIY electronics. In short, Arduino allows to take input from various sources (buttons, switches, sensors etc) and do something based on their state. The other most common use is to control a piece of hardware such as an LED light or a motor.
We will start by looking at the history of Arduino and open source technology. Then we’ll go through the basic examples, various types of Arduino boards and its extensions, difference between analog and digital inputs and basic structure of the Arduino sketch. In the practical part of the workshop you will build simple circuits exploring various possibilities of the device.
Important
Each participant should have an access to Arduino board and a computer. There will be some boards available for people to use. You will also be able to purchase boards during the workshop. If you already own an Arduino you should bring it along.
